Fareq Ikhwan As’s Expertise Fareq Ikhwan As’ari, who is currently working as a Project Planning Engineer at Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) under the first largest offshore EPCIC Petronas project known as Kasawari Carbon Capture Storage (KSCCS). He started his career in oil and gas industry as an Executive Planner at Petrofac-RNZ, an engineering consultant, where he monitored the overall progress of engineering drawings. As an enthusiast person towards learning, he expand his career at MMHE as a Procurement Planner to establish and monitor all packages for Pre/Post award tracking progress and strengthen his understanding on overall procurement activities process flow. Concurrently, he also involved in Greenfield construction as a Piping Planner for non metallic (GRE pipes) focus on monitoring overall timeline starting from drawing and material readiness, fabrication and installation work progress. He also familiarize with the progress claim by construction piping team to be reflected in overall project progress measurement. By having an ambitious and passionate character, he shifted into a position as Brownfield construction, Hook-Up (HUC) and Commissioning Planner to oversee the overall progress for onshore/offshore readiness. His interest in project management led him to enrol as a full time postgraduate in Master Of Project Management (MPM) at University Technology Malaysia (UTM) where he learn a comprehensive understanding of project management with an addition of increase responsibility in project oriented settings. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Multimedia University (MMU), with strong problem solving and critical skills, attention to detail work, and strong communication skills. He also registered as a Graduate Engineer under Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). By having a rotational scope and position in EPCIC project, he aim to advance his knowledge and expertise in project management focusing on schedule risk assessment (SRA), engineering/procurement/construction productivity analysis and project delivery methods towards successful of project planning and schedulling.
